After lasts weeks long run I was in a bit of a bad way. My Achilles heel was giving me grief and I was starting to think that it was quite a serious issue. Of course the thought of not being able to run the VLM cannot be processed by my brain and so I prepared for battle, the recovery battle that is.

Feeling generally more positive this week with the lighter nights and warmer weather. Pretty much stuck to the planned schedule, but found it difficult to fit in enough mid-week running with work and child commitments, so I did four rather than five runs. With the weather improving through last week I almost felt like I was running out of winter and into spring. My schedule required a ‘brisk’ 15 miler at the weekend, so I tried to stick to 8 minute miles and managed to finish on track in just under 2 hours.
