AWS provide network, storage and compute services which would otherwise only be available from a world-class datacentre at very high cost. Our platform of choice for Cloud-based application migration is the Amazon EC2 Cloud Computing Platform. Amazon EC2 changes the economics of computing for business by allowing you to only pay for the capacity you actually use. This means Amazon will automatically scale to provide you with enough capacity at the time that you need it.

For instance, if you have a system such as a merchant gateway that varies in the total amount that it is used week-by-week, you could save yourself large amounts by switching to the Cloud. If you’re an ISV, particularly one providing software as a service, the EC2 platform brings great levels of flexibility allowing you to scale capacity up and down as required.
